Mobile energy storage trucks, off-road electric engineering vehicles, warehouse AGVs and rough-terrain electric forklifts work under continuous bumping, shaking and mechanical vibration every day. Long-term vibration will gradually loosen the locking buckle of ordinary connectors, separate spring contact pieces, shift internal pre-charge components and eventually result in intermittent circuit breakage, instantaneous arcing and overheating faults. Many device manufacturers only pay attention to static electrical parameters but ignore dynamic vibration reliability, bringing huge hidden troubles to field operation safety.
Vibration damages high-current connectors in three main ways: First, repeated shaking loosens the mating locking mechanism, leading to insufficient contact pressure between male and female terminals and climbing contact resistance. Second, internal small pre-charge resistors and soldered components suffer fatigue fracture from long-period vibration, disabling the anti-spark core function. Third, shell deformation causes sealing failure, allowing dust and moisture to invade and corrode the conductive system.
In accordance with IEC 60068-2-6 international vibration standard, YOUWEI’s test department ran a 2000Hz frequency sweeping vibration test on standard industrial connectors and QS Antispark connectors for 4 consecutive hours under 15g acceleration. Common non-anti-spark connectors: Locking structure bounced open partially after 1.5 hours of testing, contact resistance fluctuated violently, terminal spring lost elasticity. QS Antispark connector: Adopts double barb locking buckle plus secondary safety lock, zero separation during full test period; internal pre-charge components use potting glue fixed process without displacement; contact resistance maintained 3–5mΩ with temperature rise stable at 41℃.
Three core vibration-resistant optimizations on QS series:
Application selection suggestions: Fixed indoor energy storage cabinets can adopt basic lock QS models; mobile energy storage vehicles, construction electric vehicles, port AGVs and mining battery equipment must upgrade to double anti-vibration locking customized QS antispark connectors.
