Plug cycle service life directly determines the maintenance cycle and overall operating cost of automated equipment. AGVs, electric forklifts and mobile energy storage devices need frequent battery replacement, which puts forward high requirements on connector durability. Ordinary high-current connectors will suffer contact ablation due to electric sparks, resulting in rapid performance degradation after hundreds of plugs.
We set up a comparative cycling test in the laboratory. Under the same 100A load, continuous plug and unplug operations were carried out. Common heavy-duty connectors without anti-spark structures produced obvious sparks every connection. After 1,800 cycles, the contact surface appeared pitting corrosion, contact resistance rose sharply, and the product failed. In contrast, the QS antispark connector maintains stable contact without electric arc during each plug. After 5,000 plug cycles, the change of contact resistance is still within the qualified range.
Three key factors extend the service life of QS antispark connectors. Firstly, the built-in pre-charging structure eliminates arc ablation fundamentally. Secondly, the contact terminal adopts optimized torsion spring structure, which maintains stable contact pressure after long-term repeated plugging. Thirdly, thick gold plating prevents copper substrate oxidation under humid working conditions.
